Double Negative (DNeg) has announced the formation of a new Feature Animation Division led by ex-Dreamworks Associate Producer, Tom Jacomb.
Double Negative’s vfx work was honoured at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards when the visual effects award went to Christopher Nolan’s movie, Inception.
Congratulations to Double Negative which has won the award for Special Visual Effects in this year’s BAFTA awards for its work on Inception. The prize followed a clutch of awards for the film at the annual Visual Effects Society awards, which also saw MPC and Framestore win gongs.
Among the UK companies honoured at the annual VES awards, The Mill has received three nominations, MPC has four, Framestore has six, while Double Negative is in the running for four awards.
A wealth of talent from the UK VFX industry is set for a strong showing at BAFTA in London this coming Wednesday, as the inauguaral VFX-Imagination Unlimited conference gets underway.
