Flyer designed with Adobe Spark

May 2022 update: Since this story was published, Adobe has rebranded the product as Adobe Express.

Adobe Spark, launched today, is an integrated web and mobile solution to let mainly non-designers create and share visual promo material, with a focus on creating social media campaigns and small business marketing material.

Spark consists of a browser based web app for creating social posts and graphics, web stories and animated videos, and three connected apps for iOS devices.

Spark is part of Creative Cloud and is available for free at Spark.Adobe.com. An Adobe ID, Google, or Facebook log-in is required to use the apps so that projects can sync between devices.

Spark Video, Spark Page and Spark Post are also available as English-only downloads for iPad and iPhone via the Apple App Store. Paid versions will be available in the future.

The apps offer integration with Creative Cloud assets and Lightroom photos, and the workflow is streamlined to allow non-designers to quickly create or customise personalised visual assets in minutes. However there are also some more advanced tools for composition and design included in the app, including the ability to choose the focal point of a visual asset.

There’s also an Inspiration Gallery to draw upon and very quickly adapt.

As well as publishing options for multiple social media channels, Spark is released in a partnership with Change.org and Facebook Blueprint. The latter is a new global education and certification program to help smaller agencies and advertisers achieve their business results through marketing on Facebook and Instagram platforms.

Bryan Lamkin, executive vice president and general manager, Digital Media at Adobe, said, “Today anyone can create content and share it via social media, but most people lack the skill, time and resources to create something that cuts through the online clutter. With Adobe Spark, anyone can create authentic, professional looking visual content for their project, passion, cause or business.”
