Shatner boldly announces Adobe MAX awards
To round off its annual interactive developer conference, Adobe has announced the winners of the 2010 MAX Awards at a ceremony hosted by actor William Shatner.
Now in its eighth year, the MAX Awards is a global program highlighting innovative uses of Adobe software and technology to create high-impact enterprise, social computing, entertainment, and digital-publishing applications that reach customers across multiple computing platforms and screens.
In this year’s competition, hundreds of entries were received from business, creative, and application development professionals worldwide. The top 18 entries across six categories were identified as finalists by a panel of Adobe judges and industry experts. In an online voting event open from Oct. 11-26, 2010, the public voted for their favourite finalists.
“One of the highlights each year at MAX is seeing firsthand the inspiring work created using our technologies,” said Kevin Lynch, chief technology officer, Adobe. “Judging by the quality of this year’s winners and finalists, our customers are truly at the forefront of forging a new generation of content and applications across multiple screens.”
The MAX Finalist Gallery can be viewed at 2010 MAX Awards Finalists while 15 other Adobe customers received Honourable Mention designations this year.
