UK VFX brings zombie-fest World War Z to life

Visual effects house Cinesite completed over 430 shots on Paramount’s World War Z, including turning Glasgow into Philadelphia, as well as stereo conversion of the VFX. Framestore’s Art Department developed the concepts for the film’s zombies and their unique style of movement, while The Third Floor provided digital previsualisation for the film. MPC also contributed VFX to bring the zombie swarms to horrific life.

DNEg scoops VFX Bafta

Congratulations to Double Negative which has won the award for Special Visual Effects in this year’s BAFTA awards for its work on Inception. The prize followed a clutch of awards for the film at the annual Visual Effects Society awards, which also saw MPC and Framestore win gongs.

Beautiful briny game

MPC has created a full cast of over 60 photorealistic CG creatures and provided extensive environment work for Cadbury’s latest commercial ‘Spots V Stripes’, via Fallon and A Glass and A Half Full Productions.
