A new review of the Film sector in Scotland has just been published, highlighting the size and importance of the industry and the challenges facing it.
Visual effects house Cinesite completed over 430 shots on Paramount’s World War Z, including turning Glasgow into Philadelphia, as well as stereo conversion of the VFX. Framestore’s Art Department developed the concepts for the film’s zombies and their unique style of movement, while The Third Floor provided digital previsualisation for the film. MPC also contributed VFX to bring the zombie swarms to horrific life.
PlayDead has created innovative motion graphics and titles for the BBC1 series “Kevin Bridges: What’s The Story?”, which follows the comedian as he discusses the inspirations for his standup routine. Follows being the operative word here – the graphics float around after the Glaswegian comic like a swarm of bees.
