Gorillabox has provided the Met Office with full service, planning, managing and tracking for an iPhone weather App
Users on the iPhone and iPod Touch, as well as the forthcoming iPad, will be able to access up-to-date weather forecasts quickly from the UK’s national weather service while on the move.
The Met Office weather app will provide easy access to the latest weather information and warnings and will allow users to save favourite locations so local weather information is available 24 hours a day. The new app is now available from the Apple App Store. Gorillabox’s core offering is application development and streaming video content to mobile handsets anywhere in Europe and the US on any scale
“Gorillabox has worked closely with the Met Office to develop an application utilising a range of iPhone features and incorporating the Met Office weather alerts that will provide users with the latest and most accurate weather information wherever they are,” said Mark Wakefield, founder and COO of Gorillabox.
This latest service complements other ways of getting the latest information from the Met Office, including via the Met Office Website or following the Met Office on Twitter, signing up for email alerts, or getting special-event forecasts and other news videos on YouTube.
